I am an astronomer and travel publisher. I spent my research career studying protoplanetary disks and planet formation, with positions at ESO, the Universidad de Chile, and IPAG in Grenoble. In 2018 I founded the travel publication Love Big Island, and in 2025 I moved to the island it covers. I live in Volcano, on the edge of Hawaiʻi Volcanoes National Park.
